Google Rolls Out New Search Analytics API for Search Console

This morning Google officially announced that their new Search Analytics API for their Search Console (formerly known as Webmaster Tools) has launched. This API will give developers access to the search performance data that you can find within the Search Analytics reports.

In opening up this data via the new API, Google is allowing developers to create their own apps and services based off of the data. Google gives us these examples of the data that you can pull:

Top queries, sorted by click count, descending

Top pages, sorted by click count, descending

Top queries in a specific location, sorted by click count, descending

Top mobile queries in a specific location, sorted by click count, descending

More information on the new Search Analytics API can be found here.
